Gibson Cat-back exhaust.
I work this weekend, but this should be on my doorstep on Monday. I’m hoping to get it installed Tuesday before autocross next weekend. The more I do to this car, the more I find that I want to do. I think it’s an addiction!

Why does it have an X-pipe?

Because it makes it sound awesome even though it makes no sense on a 4-cylinder is why! Believe it!

I’m trying really hard to resist buying an exhaust for my GT right now. Must. Not. Spend. All. The. Money.

Probably to create an equilibrium in pressure between the two pipes after the leave the muffler. Better for flow, and because it’d probably be embarrassing to see exhaust vapors coming out of only one side on a cold morning.

I believe it’s an extra measure to deepen the exhaust note. And the balance thing. All I know is that the sound clips online are really good with this setup. Not too loud, not too ricey. No matter what it’s still a 4-cyl turbo car, so there’s only so much that can be done to make it sound better.

I’ve been saying that since I started modding the boostang. It’s futile. You are one of us. One of us. One of us....
